Heliopolis (Egyptian Arabic: مصر الجديده, Maṣr eg-Gedīda, [ˈmɑsˤɾ eg ɡeˈdidæ], lit. "New Egypt") was a suburb outside Cairo, Egypt, which has since merged with Cairo as a district of the city and is one of the more affluent areas of Cairo.
